Our Scout Troop make up the 3rd section of Portobello. Scouts are young people aged between 10 & 14½. We have an average of 20 Scouts in the section who are led by our Scout Leader & Assistant Leaders. All Scouts work towards challenge badges, staged badges, and activity badges which cover a wide range of areas designed to help young people grow, learn new skills, make new friends, try new things, gain confidence and have fun! - This takes place during our weekly Scout troop meetings, trips & events such as camping experiences, Hikes away, days out and many other adventurous activities. At Porto we encourage all our Scouts to get stuck in, try new and challenging things and to try their best. We have a learn-by-doing approach and have a good laugh along the way.

Hi, I'm Lee, Scout Leader at Portobello. I joined Scouting with Porto when I was 8 as a Cub, then after progressing through the sections I decided to take on the role as the Scout Section Leader. Some of my greatest memories are of being away as a Scout, camping, hiking and trying new challenges, so knowing I'm providing the same opportunities for others means a lot to me.

Hi I'm Chris, with Lee I help lead the Scout section. I started with Portobello as one of its first Beavers. After a short break following Scouts I returned to the group as a Leader. I am passionate about Scouting; it allows Young People to challenge themselves through adventure; I also have fun too!
